I'm back in Denmark. After 1 week spent with my cousins, I started again an intensive course in order to get 5 extra ECTS. The course: Human-Computer Interaction. A kind of ergonomy for computers. We gonna have lectures every morning this week, and only on Wednesday and Friday the 2 next weeks, from 8.30 to 12h30. The afternoon is booked for exercises and there are a lot of work, and a lot of reports to handle (exactly 3). I though I passed 3 calm weeks, but no !! In add, I have a lot stuff to do besides, like preparing my next semester in New York City !! Is anybody interested in having vacation in NYC ?...

That's it !! After 2 weeks of intensive work on projects and reports to handle, I finally finished my semester. My luggage is packed (full of presents for Xmas) and I'm ready to go back in France with Fabrice and Juan by car. Gladness or Sadness ? I cannot answer myself. In one hand, I'm glad to see my friends again, which I did'nt do for 4 months, in another hand, it's the end of one of the greatest semester I ever spent in my student lige. OK, I will go here again on January, but there will be only a few of all us, and there are some people, that I knew here, I wouldn't see for a long time. Anyway, I leave you, two vacation weeks are waiting for me !!

A lot of things happened since the last update. First, it's official, the weather is so bad !! Since a few days, it keep on raining. It's not cold but it's raining (I hate it, I don't mind how cold it is). The second thing depends on the first one: I was sick last week-end and the beginning of the week, specially on Monday where I had difficulties to go to DTU in order to revise for an exam the following day. My host looked after me, she gave me a lot of pills and right now, I'm OK. Third thing: I gave up biking !! It's the third bike I broke since the beginnig of the semester. I was cycling toward the bus station when suddenly the back wheel (the most difficult one to repair !!) burst !!! Right now, I have three bikes in my garden waiting for a reparation. Perhaps, I could have a special offer for reparation at Cycle shop !?! The last but not the least: I have also tasted the "Beaujolais Nouveau" (it's a special red wine, usually awful one which the producers release the third thursdays of november, French people are keen on this day, it's almost like the J-Day in Denmark). With some French friends and a Portuguese one, we went to the National French Institute of Copenhagen where a special party were ogarnized. The idea sounded right: free entrance, delicatessen and cheese plates and a French music band ("Claude Chichon and his orchestr"). Unhappily, we were wrong, Claude is a bad Jazz musician, the ambiance were too smart, the glass of wine too expansive (30 DKK) and I prefer not talking about the delicatessen plate. By the way, we drank a glass and I went back to DTU where some Christmas parties were organised by differents departments (building 421, 116, the Spanish house).

Today is a special day in Denmark. It's the J-day, it means that it is the exit of the christmas beer, made by Tuborg (the competitors of Carlsberg): we can compare this to the exit of Beaujolais in France. At 9.00 pm in the dot, bars can sell the J-beers. To see this tradition, with some friends, we went to Copenhagen. I was a little bit disappointed because there were not a good ambiance: only some bars were pleasant to see. However, it was quite funny to see Tuborg lorries distributing the beers to the bars all night long. In add, there was a Tuborg bus, taking some pedestrians in, making them sing, and leaving in the dowtown (without offering a beer to them !). At DTU, previous year, the students emptied 146 barrels of beer !! It's enormous but if they break the record, 300 beers will be offer. To inform students, a big screen displayed the number of remaining beer. Unhappily, there were not a lot of people at this party, and when I quitted the party around 3.00 am, Danes only drunk half of the whole beers. So, I think the record were not broken. Too bad, we are obliged to go back to the party next year !! Concerning the beer, I am not the only guy who think that J-beer is not good.

Decicedly, bikes are not made to me !! I'm just breaking my second bike. That's true that it was a little bit old and strange, but I could drive it !! Unhappily, yesterday, it broke down when I was going to school, under the rain, in the middle of the journey. Actually, it kept going off the line because the back wheel was probably not screwed enough and the gears had a problem (it's not the same system than in France). So, I arrived at school completely wet, 1h late, the pants (light color) and my hands were dirty. In the evening, I went home by riding my bike in the slope, unhappily, the policemen stop me because my lights were no power left (happily, they didn't fine me, 500 Kroners !!). When the policemen were away, I rode my bike again and hardly 5 minutes later, the back wheel burst. So, I did almost the entire way back on foot under the rain !!! I guess it was the worst day of my stay here. But, There are good days, there are also bad ones...
